My Top 10 things I am thankful for and why.
1) God
with out God there would be nothing at all to be thankful for.
John 1:1-5 " In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God. He was in the beginnig with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. in him was life, and the life was light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it."
2) Family
I have an amazing family who is always there for me. do they have there flaws o yes they do, but when it comes down to it, they are there though the thick and the thin and I couldn't ask for more. o and I have a nephew on the way :).
Joshua 24:15 "But if serving the lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for your self this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household we will serve the Lord."
3) Friends
I have a great group of friends who are there for me when I need them and im happy to be there for them also. I am so happy for my friends who are getting married and having kidos.
Proverbs 27:17 "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another."
4) This past summer
this past summer was crazy and amazing at the same time. i went on too missions trips one here in the states and one in Jamaica, I also took a step outside my comfort zone and left home by my self for 6 weeks.
Work camp was great i had an awesome time. I planned the games and I got to lead a small group of girls and got to see 3 of the girls accept Christ and one of the boys. it was life changing.
Jamaica. i had an awesome time getting to see my little bro go on his 1st missions trip. God also gave me more of a passion for special need kids.
VCBC this is where I went all by my self like a big kid for 6 weeks. God taught me a lot of things while i was there, but the biggest thing was that i can do it, that i can go with out the help of others and how to rely on God when i felt lonely. now i just want to put it out there i was rarely lonely there the people where amazing.
Matthew 4:19 "Come, follow me" Jesus said,"and i will send you out to fish for people"
5) Salvation
as we draw closer to the Christmas season im reminded that night the baby boy born was why we have so much hope and life.
Luke 2:11 for unto you is born this day in the city of David a savior, who is Christ the Lord.
6) A Future
not only a future but a future of hope, grace and mercy. although God never promised the good life he leaves us with lots of promises of greatness.
John 16:33 " I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. but take heart, because I have overcome the world."
Jeremiah 29:11 " For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord " they are plains for good and not disaster, to give you a future and a hope,"

Abe has gotten big fast i started watching him when he was only 6 weeks old and now he his 10 months old and his brother just turned 2 years old.

Carving pumpkins, election day, and baby boom
Carving pumpkins
so my family went camping for the weekend over Halloween i normally go but my job didn't allow me to go this year, so I missed carving pumpkins :(. but when my family got back they brought me a pumpkin, and it was ready to be carved :). so i carved it and put it out front and then started handing out candy to the children. it was a good day.
top left is my moms, top right is DJ's and, bottom one is mine.
Election Day
November 6th was election day.
this was the very 1st time voting for president. this election season got me thinking about how some people even christian view our president. first i want to say that yes it is important to have a good president, but some people view it as this is the only hope for our country, that our future is riding on the person elected. well i just what to say that there is a big man up-stares that has a lot more to say about what happens to our country and our future. i was reminded of a story in the bible where a man was in the wilderness and God provided daily food for him though a bird, and how much more do we have that we need to worry.
Baby Boom
so most of you already know my brother Joshua and his wife Jill are going to have a baby boy in January but they aren't the 1st in our church nor are they the last. since June this year we have had 1 baby girl born, and 3 baby boys born. buy June next year we will have 4 more new baby's for a grand total of 8 new baby's we were just saying that the infant nursery was empty well it wont be for to much longer. all these new baby's are all the 1st one in each family except for the twins i don't know the family yet i just know there is a new family coming to our church that are expecting twins.
